We’re in the Sunday Times Scotland Fast 50
We’re proud to share that PPS Logistics has been named in the inaugural Sunday Times Scotland Fast 50 – the new list celebrating the fastest-growing and most dynamic companies headquartered in Scotland.
It’s a moment we’re still taking in. To see the PPS name sitting among 50 of the country’s most ambitious businesses is something we honestly never pictured when we started out.
What the Fast 50 recognises
The Sunday Times Scotland Fast 50 shines a light on companies driving real growth across the Scottish economy. To make the list, every business had to demonstrate sustained momentum – an average annual revenue growth of at least 20% across its two most recent financial years.
The judges chose to showcase rather than rank the 50 companies, so there’s no first or fiftieth place. Every business on the list cleared the same demanding bar, and we’re delighted PPS is one of them, having reached the list on £12m in annual sales.
From five vans to five sites
When PPS Logistics started in 2020, it was five delivery vans and a determination to do things properly.
In the years since, we’ve grown into a full-service logistics operation built around our customers’ needs:
- Pallet distribution through our membership of Palletways – where we’re now a Triple Platinum member
- Parcel delivery across the network
- Freight forwarding
- Warehousing
- Vehicle bodyshop and repair
Today we operate from five sites across central and western Scotland, run a fleet of around 100 vehicles, and continue to grow sustainably year on year.
Building our own tools, in-house
One thing that sets PPS apart is how we work behind the scenes. Rather than buying technology off the shelf, we build our own tools in-house – developing the automation and systems that keep our operation efficient, accurate and tailored to exactly how we run. It’s a forward-looking approach that’s become a real part of how we deliver for customers, and a big part of the growth story that landed us on the Fast 50.
This is the team’s recognition
A list like this doesn’t happen because of any one person. It happens because of the team.
Every driver out on the road, every colleague in the warehouse, and everyone in the office who has backed PPS from day one – this recognition belongs to you as much as anyone. Thank you for the graft, the standards and the pride you bring every single day.
When we started in 2020 with five delivery vans, I never imagined for a moment we’d one day be on a list like this, alongside some of the best businesses in the country. But none of it happens without the team. This recognition is theirs as much as mine. Proud doesn’t quite cover it. Onwards. – Andrew Muir, PPS Logistics
Onwards
Being named in the inaugural Sunday Times Scotland Fast 50 is a milestone we’ll never forget – and a springboard for what comes next. We’re going to keep growing, keep investing in our people and technology, and keep delivering for the customers who’ve trusted us along the way.
